Dominican Republic Mission Trips
This Mission is a project of the three lower peninsula Episcopal dioceses in Michigan, in conjunction with the companion diocese of the Dominican Republic. The project is focused on raising funds and sending missioners to the town of San Marcos in the Dominican Republic. Parishioners from the three Michigan dioceses work alongside local parishioners to help build a church, a school and a rectory for the Church of San Simón. In 2014, the lower level of the church, the worship space, was completed. This Project is not just about raising money and building a church and a school. It is also about sharing what we have with our Episcopal brothers and sisters, and them sharing with us. It is about building foundations of faith and love that come from God.
